Description
Polly Turner was given a doll by her father just 3 days before he died in a boating accident. Townspeople began to harm and even kill themselves around Polly and the Doll, the results of which were seen by FBI agent Scully.Polly's mother snapped under the strain and was about to burn the house down, killing herself and her daughter, but was saved when Agent Scully placed the doll into the microwave and turned it on. In typical X-Files tradition, this is not the end of the doll...
This is King's first X-Files episode, but I really do not think he is an X-Files fan, as Scully and Mulder appear extremely forced, with Mulder actually making jokes and ignoring something he would normally be going absolutely nuts over - a genuine odd and unexplained story.
Kings initial version of the story was titled "Molly". Chris Carter largely changed the screenplay, and both writers were credited with the resultant "Chinga". Due to Kings wish not to allow Molly to be released, no character list will be done for the work online. The only place to get further information of Molly is through The Complete Guide to the Works of Stephen King.
