Jumper

Description: Robert Steppes had escaped after being committed as a serial jumper, and was threatening to jump from the 15th floor of the Chrysler Building. Jeff Davis decides to use strange methods to stop him from jumping.

Written for Dave's rag in the Winter of 1959-1960 as a 3 part serial.

Characters:

Castle, Dr Robert Steppes called Jeff Davis Dr Castle
Davis, Jeff A police counselor in New York City that tries to talk down the jumping Robert Steppes
Steppes, Robert A compulsive jumper he had tried to jump off a building six times. He had been committed but had escaped and Jeff Davis was trying to talk him down from the 15th story of the Chrysler building.

Rush Call

Description: Dr Thorpe climbs into a car on Christmas Eve and operates on a young boy trapped in the car. He saves the boys life, removing his appendix in the process, and discovers the true meaning of Christmas in the process.

Characters:

Simmons, Carl His wife was a patient of Dr Thorpe. Father of Carol Simmons.
Simmons, Carol Daughter of Carl Simmons. She was marrying a man her mother thought was a fortune hunter and tramp.
Simmons, Mrs 43 year old woman who was a patient of Dr Thorpe in room 472. She was in hospital with a broken leg sustained in a fall from a ladder. Wife of Carl.
Spickerman, Dr Dr Spickerman claimed Dr Thorpe was one of the best doctors in his day, but not now.
Thorpe, Dr A Doctor who was old and nearing the end of his career at the hospital. He volunteered to take out the appendix of a boy trapped in a car on Christmas Eve
